Tirana is not only the largest city of the Republic of Albania. It also is its capital city.

The Albanian city is known for many cultural and artistic establishments. Found in the city are institutions for the arts like the National Gallery of the Dances, the Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the Ensemble of Folk Music and Dances and the National Theater among others. Events that foster artistry and love for culture held in the city include the Tirana Jazz Festival and the Tirana Biennale.

The recently established Archeological Museum is equipped with an able, knowledgeable curator that would give you the tour of the museum and brief you with the history of the city. Only around 5% of the place has been excavated. It leaves you with the nagging thought: what could still be found underneath? This makes the trip to the museum more exciting. After walking around and looking into the artefacts displayed in it, the museum possesses a restaurant situated at its entrance. The foods in the restaurant are known to be classy and mouth-wateringly good.

Tirana is rich in the unearthed past waiting to be dug up. It’s also rich in culture and the arts. These make visiting the place appealing to many. Not many places offer this sort of adventures. Experience the city at its best in museums.
