Bulgaria’s marine capital

Varna (Bulgaria) is a major destination for tourists. It is situated by the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast and therefore is very near the sea. And because it is so, the city is considered the marine capital of the nation.

Like most of European cities, Varna (Bulgaria) also boasts of attractive, classic and sophisticated structures that say the city is part of artsy and classy Europe. Some of the famous hotspots frequented by tourists to the city are the Nezavisimost Square and the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin. The former houses the opera house and is the best place to stroll around and see the historic sights that the city offers. As with the former, the murals on the stained glass of the aforementioned cathedral are said to be eye-catching to whoever passes by the place.

Varna (Bulgaria) has numerous museums as well. The one frequented by many visitors is the Varna Archeological Museum. Within the walls of the famous archeological museum are interesting things such as the Gold of Varna. The Roman baths is another sight not to miss for those on a first vacation to the place. Because Varna (Bulgaria) is the marine capital of the nation, in the city is where we find the Naval Museum. The Naval Museum reportedly displays the historical Bulgarian ship Drazki.

For fun and enjoyment, the city has the Sea Garden. It is considered the biggest amusement park in the city, as well as the oldest. It boasts of an aquarium, a dolphinarium—the place to see dolphins swim freely and at play—and the theatre where performance from opera singers and others are held. The amusement park is huge enough for the kids to have fun in.

One reason why we want visit the marine capital of Bulgaria is because of its beaches and the nightlife. For that purpose, we have the waterfront promenade which is lined by a series of beach clubs that offer different kinds of entertainment from hip-hop dancing to dancing to music that’s truly Bulgarian. It is the ideal place to mix and mingle with the locals and your fellow vacationers.

Varna (Bulgaria) also has shopping areas for the shopaholic. It pleases not just the kids, as there is an amusement park in the city, but the adults as well. It’s the place to be for the sand, sea and nightlife!
