Lille (France) is a city situated in the northern part of the French nation. It comes fourth in terms of sizes from 3 major French cities, Paris, Lyon and Mersailles. The city is home to more than 200, 000 people.

Jarden des Plantes de Lille is the only botanical garden that’s owned by the municipality. The other two is owned by universities.

As a municipal park, Jardin des Plantes de Lille is open to the public. It is made to resemble that of pleasure parks where people can take a walk around, checking into the different greens housed in it.

There are other things to do in Lille (France) other than go to its botanical gardens and marvel at the flora and fauna that have. Le Furent du Nord, the city’s and the European continent’s largest bookshop, is the place for the bookworms. In Lille, it can be found in Grand’ Place. And if you’re in the city for shopping, boutiques selling high-end clothing and accessories are in Rue de la Grande Chausse and Rue de la Monnaie. For antiques that are stamped with the Lille signature, the best place to be is the rue d’ Angleterre. As there are high-end shops, there, too, are flea markets in the city of Lille.

The French city is known for the modern-styled cathedral, the Notre-Dame de la Treille. It was only recently completed, particularly in the year 1999.
