This is an excellent place to visit especially those who are interested in cultural as well as ecological attractions. The government and the locals of Greece value their resources and culture so much that all of the tourist spots are now well-protected and preserved. Numerous museums, monuments, and archaeological sites are the most visited areas in Greece.

Eco-tourism is currently promoted here in the country of Greece. There are at least ten national parks that are now under the protection of the government as well as private sectors of the country. The Parnitha National Park, is one of the ten national parks in Greece which aims to protect and preserve the flora and fauna of the Southern part of the country. The said national park also boasts its plant species since there are now more than eight hundred different kinds of plant species recorded in here. Moreover, the Parnitha National Park is the only place in the Southern area of Greece where the Cervus Elaphus or the red deer still exists.

Aside from the national parks, there are places in Greece that you should not miss. The Acropolis of Athens, is dedicated to the goddess of war, wisdom and arts – Athena. You can also find in Greece the archaeological sites of Tiryns, Mycenae, Olympia, Delos, Epidaurus, and Delphi. Also, don’t forget to visit the Old Town of Corfu located in the Corfu Island. The old town can be traced back to the 8th century BC and still known in the whole Greece as the entrance of the nearby sea which is the Adriatic Sea.

Museums are also ubiquitous here in Greece. Every region in this country boasts its own museum. There are now twelve museums in Greece. Most of these museums are about the history, the Greek art, the Byzantine period and more which enriched the culture of the country. Some of the most visited museums in Greece is the Byzantine Museum and Collections, the Natural History Museum, the Archaeological Museum and Collection, and the Greek Art Museum. If you want to go to any of these museums, try not to go on Mondays since these establishments are usually closed
