Switzerland has a lot of stories to tell, which can be seen on the tourist destinations of the country. You can be taken back to the past with the help of the collections stored in numerous museums and castles.

One of the historical castles and a museum at the same time is the Aigle Castle, popularly known as the Chateau. The Aigle Castle is considered as one of the well-preserved and important castles in the country of Switzerland. Since the 12th century, people can get a nice view of the town if you are situated in the Aigle Castle. Inside the Chateau d’ Aigle, you will find more small towers, a square keep, as well as a balcony. However, the Aigle Castle is not originally a museum. It was once used as a residence of the provincial governors of Bernese. Moreover, it was also the district’s prison until the year 1972.

If you want to go to the one of the oldest national parks in the whole Europe, then take a trip to the Swiss National Park.
